From Derrick Rose to LeBron James to the Pau Gasol trade rumors, we have you covered with the latest NBA news for this Tuesday, December 4th.
Here is what’s happening right now:
Los Angeles Lakers
If the Lakers part ways with Pau Gasol, their number one target is reportedly Ryan Anderson, but as an organization, Los Angeles in not in total agreement to trade away the big man from Spain. Additionally, Gasol will miss tonight’s game versus the Rockets due to tendinitis in his knees. He is now listed as day to day moving forward.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have been of the surprise teams in the NBA this season and they have been doing it at home and away. New York is 12-4 straight up, with an 11-5 record against the spread, including a stellar 6-1 at home. It has been awhile, but the Knicks finally have emerged as a top team in this league.
The Bulls superstar point guard Derrick Rose is expected to return to practice in the very near future, as he continues to heal from his torn ACL injury that he suffered during last year’s postseason. The exact return date is yet to be determined, but a sense of no more than a couple weeks is what is expected.
LeBron James is being honored by Sports Illustrated as their “Sportsman of the Year” and will be on the front cover of the special edition issue. Since departing Cleveland for South Beach and receiving more than enough criticism, this tribute truly points out the man and leadership skills of James and how is has matured as an athlete.
