For this Wednesday, November 14 we will take you around the league with some quick hits and hot news stories that are hitting the hardwood as we speak.
Here is the latest:
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have jumped out to a 5-0 record to start the season, with three victories coming at home and two on the road. Even more amazing is their five point spread covers without a loss this season.
Los Angeles Lakers
Mike D’Antoni still may be two weeks away from sitting on the bench to coach the Lakers due to his major knee surgery replacement just a few weeks ago.
The USA Basketball’s board of directors have re-elected Jerry Colangelo as chairman through 2016. Additionally, Mr. Big Shot Chauncey Billups will be added to the board as an athlete rep.
Though the season is young, the Bucks are the top team in the Central Division, having capitalized on the injuries to the Bulls (Derrick Rose) and Indiana Pacers (Danny Granger). Things are looking good for the Bucks, as no time table for a return has been set on either player.
New Orleans Hornets/Charlotte Bobcats
The Hornets and Bobcats have made a trade, with Hakim Warrick going to Charlotte in exchange for Matt Carroll, who is in his 10th NBA season, recording 6.8 points and nearly 2 rebounds per game in 459 appearances. Meanwhile, Warrick has averaged 9.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game with five NBA teams since being drafted by the Grizzlies in 2005.
