Monday night in the NBA offers some nice betting action, with a total of eight games on the board. Out of the eight matchups, I have selected four and provided a brief overview and free pick for each contest.
Here is the breakdown:
Oklahoma City Thunder at Detroit Pistons
Betting Line: Thunder -6 1/2, Over/Under 195 1/2
The Pistons (0-7) have failed to win a game straight up this season and tonight I expect their winless streak to stretch to eight games against a much more talented Thunder (5-2) team that is gunning or a championship this season.
Free Pick: Thunder -6 1/2
Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls
Betting Line: Bulls -2 1/2, Over/Under 183
The Celtics (3-3) have produced more wins (2) on the road this season than at home. However, tonight against the Bulls (4-2), I don’t expect them to win number three. The Bulls are younger than the Celtics and should win and cover this game at home.
Free Pick: Bulls -2 1/2
Miami Heat at Houston Rockets
Betting Line: Heat -5 1/2, Over/Under 194 1/2
The Heat (5-2) seem poised for another championship run and the Rockets (3-3) should offer very little competition against a much stronger opponent like Miami. Expect the Heat to role right over the Rockets en route to an easy win and point spread cover.
Free Pick: Heat -5 1/2
Minnesota Timberwolves at Dallas Mavericks
Betting Line: Mavericks -7, Over/Under 191
The Timberwolves (4-2) are in a good position to cover the number against the Mavericks (4-3) on the road tonight. Minnesota is a better team than the Mavericks and while I understand they are playing on the road, this number is a bit lopsided to me.
Free Pick: T-Wolves +7
