NBA Monday: Double Feature
Feb 13th, 2012 by PJ LaFerla
I hope you all took advantage of my easy winner yesterday and enjoyed your Sunday, as the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors easily surpassed the total of 176 with a final score of 94-92.
For this Monday, the board is light and nothing is really jumping out at me, but I do find two games rather interesting and the scenarios attached to them worth mentioning. I do not have an official play on either matchup, but I will break down both the 76ers/Bobcats and the Clippers/Mavericks games and provide you will some betting trends with the goal of giving you a few tips that may point to more value. If you have already keyed in on these games, then the insight below may possibly give you that extra push to make your play.
Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Bobcats:
The 76ers own identical team and against the spread records at 19-9. When they play the Bobcats on the road, you can expect the total to go over, as six of the last seven have eclipsed the mark.
The Bobcats own a league worst team record of 3-24, but have produced a 9-18 mark against the spread. However, they have beaten the 76ers in five straight games when these two teams matchup in Charlotte.
Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks:
The Clippers own a team record of 17-8 and when it comes to cashing a ticket, they are 15-9-1 against the spread. They have won six of their last seven on the road.
The Mavericks own a team record of 17-11 and fall one game short of matching the mark against the spread at 16-12. They come into this matchup having won three straight. Interesting enough, when playing the Clippers in Dallas, the Mavericks have beaten them five out of their last five matchups.
Good luck tonight and remember – you don’t need to make a play just to be in action. If it’s not there, it’s not there!
I will be back tomorrow with a breakdown and a free winner for Tuesday’s action.
