The Boston Celtics travel to the Sunshine State this Sunday evening, November 25 for a betting matchup against the Orlando Magic that will take place at the Amway Center, with tip off scheduled for 6:00 PM EST.
The Oddsmakers have listed the visiting Celtics as a -4 1/2 point favorite in this contest, while posting the over/under total at 191 1/2 points.
The Boston Celtics enter this matchup with an overall record of seven wins and six losses, but are far worse against the spread with just four ATS wins on the young season. On the road they have covered just two games in six chances and as a favorite they are just 2-5-1 when laying the chalk.
After winning two straight games, the Orlando Magic have pushed their overall record to 5-7 on the season, but are reversed at 7-5 against the spread. They are 3-3 against the spread when playing at home and 5-4 as an underdog. They are 29th in the league in scoring – averaging just 90.2 points per game.
The Celtics are 4-9-2 against the spread in their last 15 games overall and a poor 0-5 ATS in their last five when facing teams in the Southeast Division.
They have gone over the posted total in five of their last seven games overall.
The Magic are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six contests coming off a game that they failed to cover the spread, but are 0-3-1 in their last four matchups versus teams in the Atlantic Division.
They have kept the final score under the posted total in six of their last nine games overall.
Boston has struggled at times this season, but they should be able to handle Orlando with very little resistance en route to the straight up victory and point spread cover.
Celtics -4 1/2
