For today, November 16th I am providing a bettors breakdown for teams in the Atlantic Division and analyzing which ones are cashing in winning tickets, while showing others that have proved to be a disappointment thus far.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have started the season with six consecutive straight up and against the spread victories, including three wins at home and another three on the road. They have been listed a favorite in three of their contests. The Knicks are second in the league in scoring, averaging 103.5 points per game.
The Nets are 5-2 straight up and 3-3-1 against the spread, but have failed to cover their lone game as an underdog. They are 2-0 against division opponents. The Nets rank near the bottom (27) in field goal percentage allowed (45.2%).
The Celtics are 5-4 straight up, but have yet to cover a spread when playing at home (0-3-1). They have gone over the posted total in five of their nine games. The Celtics are the fifth best team in the league shooting the ball from the field, with a 46.2% average.
Philadelphia is 4-4 straight up after eight games, but has covered just one at home. However, they own an impressive 3-1 ATS record on the road. Philadelphia’s offense ranks near the bottom in points scored (28) and field goal percentage (29) – 88 per game and 40.1% respectively.
The Raptors own a poor 2-6 straight up record and are slightly better against the spread at 3-5 after eight games to start the season. As an underdog, the Raptors have covered just two times in six chances. Toronto’s defense gives up nearly 101 points per contest.
