For today, December 20 we will be breaking down the ATS numbers for teams in the Eastern Conference, including overall records, as wells as home, away, favorite and underdog production. Let’s get started: Overall ATS Records The Washington Wizards may only be 3-20 straight up on the season, but they own one of the best ATS records in the Eastern Conference, with a 13-9-1 mark versus the betting number. New York (15-10 ATS) and Orlando (14-11 ATS) round at the top three teams with the best against the spread records in the Eastern Conference. ATS Home Records The New York Knicks are the best team to bet at home, as they own a stellar 9-3 ATS record at Madison Square Garden. On the reverse side of things, the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks are the worst teams to bet on when playing at home, as all three have managed just three point spread covers in their own building all season. ATS Away Records Once again two surprise teams lead the Eastern Conference on the road against the spread. The Orlando Magic are 9-3 ATS in their travels, while the Wizards own a 7-4-1 mark when playing away from DC. Atlanta and Chicago are tied with a 6-4 ATS road record, while Brooklyn is 6-5 and the Milwaukee Bucks are 7-5. ATS Favorite Records The Indiana Pacers are running away with this category, with a sensational 11-4 mark when laying the chalk. The New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors are the only other teams in the Eastern Conference with a winning record when it comes to laying the chalk, with an 11-9 and 4-1 ATS home record respectfully. ATS Underdog Records The Miami Heat have been listed as an underdog just once all season and came through, while New York has been in that spot five times, producing a 4-1 ATS mark. The Celtics are the worst team in the Eastern Conference to bet on in the underdog role, as they have only covered twice in nine chances.
