The Washington Wizards will be on the road this Saturday evening, as they are heading to “The Second City” for an NBA betting matchup against the Chicago Bulls that is set to take place at the United Center, with tip off scheduled for 8:05 PM EST.
The Oddsmakers have set the line to the advantage of the home team in this contest, listing the Bulls as a beefed up -10 1/2 point favorite, while posting the over/under total at 181 points.
The Wizards enter this matchup with just four straight up wins and 23 losses on the season, which is the worst record in the NBA. However, they are much better against the spread with a 14-12-1 record overall. On the road, they have covered the point spread seven times in 13 chances and as an underdog they are 14-10-1.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 15-12 straight up, but they have been horrendous against the spread – especially at home. Chicago has played 15 games at home to the tune of 3 ATS wins and 12 losses. As an ATS favorite they aren’t that much better, producing a 6-10 record in 16 games this season. The Bulls feature the 3rd best defense in the league, as they are holding opponents to just about 92 points a night.
The Wizards are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games played on a Saturday and 0-4 ATS in their last four matchups versus teams from the Central Division. Seven of the Wizards last ten games overall have stayed under the posted total.
The Bulls are a very respectable 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against teams from the Eastern Conference, but only 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games played on a Saturday. Seven of the Bulls last nine games played at home have stayed under the posted total.
Sooner or later the Bulls need to produce at home and what better way for it to happen then against the lowly Washington Wizards, who will be playing in the second leg of a back-to-back. Chicago will blow out Washington tonight.
Bulls – 10 1/2
