The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to South Beach Florida this Saturday night, November 24 for a betting matchup against the Miami Heat that will take place at the American Airlines Arena, with tip off scheduled for 7:35 PM EST.
The Oddsmakers have listed the home team Heat as a hefty -14 point favorite in this contest, while posting the over/under total at 196 1/2 points.
The Cleveland Cavaliers enter this matchup with a poor 3-9 straight up record, but they are 4-4 against the spread this season when playing on the road. They average about 96 points per game (18th in the league), but they are surrendering 101.5 to opponents, which ranks near the bottom of all NBA teams at 28th overall.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat continue to roll with a 9-3 straight up record, which is good enough for first place in the Southeast Division. However, they are just 6-6 against the spread in their 12 contests so far this season and 3-2 at home. Miami has the top ranked offense in the league, scoring 104.3 points per game.
The Cavaliers are 1-4 against the spread playing after a straight up loss and when allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
They have kept the final score under the posted total in six of their last seven games played on a Saturday.
The Heat have covered the spread in seven of their last nine games played at home and five of seven when playing teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat have gone over the posted total in six of their last seven games played at home and four straight against teams in the Central Division.
This game will never be close, as I expect the Heat to blowout the Cavaliers en route to at least a 20-point victory.
